After the 2018 movie, King of Boys, the sequel came out in 2021 in the form of a Netflix limited series by the name King of Boys: The Return of the King along with a documentary explaining the execution of it known as The Making of a King. Both are excellent, starring Sola Sobowale as the present Alhaja Eniola Salami and directed by Kemi Adetiba. This series has 7 episodes with each being an hour or more. Eniola is a businesswoman, engrossed in the community and a beloved respected figure in Lagos, Nigeria. As she is respected for her businesses, she is also the matriarch known as the King of boys.

We saw her trials, power struggle, betrayal and consequences in the first movie but experience much more in the follow-up series. It is interesting as she battles her decision to do better, be peaceful and acquire just power as governor of Lagos state.
